CETMAR

CETMAR Foundation: CETMAR is a Galician (Spain) Interest Foundation, was founded in 2001 by the Department do Mar and the Directorate General of I + D + I of the Xunta de Galicia and Ministry of Science and Innovation.

The main objective of the Centre is to promote cooperation among institutions, research centers and maritime and fishery sector and encourage the involvement of dependent sectors of the sea in R + D + I and promote the efficiency of all activities related to the use and exploitation of the marine environment.

CETMAR actions extend to national, European and international activity to be beneficiaries of all public and private sectors related to the sea and its resources and the marine environment in general.

CEANI is a R+D+I division which belongs to the Computation Engineering Universitary Institute (SIANI), Las Palmas de Gran Canaria University(ULPGC). CEANI was born from the main nucleus of human resources and materials of the General Research Sercive also called CEANI, in relation with its old name Numericall Applications in Engineering Center. Since 1992 it has been involved in several lines of work in Modelling, Simulation and Optimization. Since 1996, the research has also included Reliability related areas (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety, Security, Probabilistic Risk Analysis and Optimal Predictive Maintenance). From the beginning more than 200 lectures, 60 international scientific publications and 20 research and development projects have been presented.CEANI has also organized more than 50 Conferences about Numerical Simulation and optimization methods, taking into account their applications to scientific and tecnological problems.
